    You only attend interviews to provide evidence that you are searching for employment. Taking payment may lead to your benefits being stopped.

        Just to update on this:

        Agency agreed to pay rail travel costs up to £100 with client picking up the tab

        There were 4 people in contention and I got the contract.

        Just goes to show it potentially worth pushing your luck sometimes
