Hi everybody, first time posting here so sorry if I'm missing something obvious and putting this in the wrong place.
My wife has been offered a job in Belgium with the company she currently works with, it's a promotion for her so a no brainer as a permanent employee but I contract in the UK and not sure how to go about setting up in Belgium.
The project I'm working on at the moment is due to finish Dec 2020 and they're happy for me to work from Belgium instead of UK as they're a global company. My intention is to see out this project and use that year to polish up my French before looking for permanent jobs in Belgium.
I've no idea how to go about setting up my tax status in Belgium for a contract, google and my agency pointed me to Access Financial but a search on here makes them seem quite questionable. Is there a local equivalent to an umbrella who will just take the contract and pay me through PAYE?
I know from the tax rates that my retention will be quite low, but I don't want to fall for the promises of high retention and end up with a big bill years down the line for dodgy taxes.
