    Yeah I am not doubting it just haven't seen it. I work in data too and have to have full access to do my job but have only had 2 perm data jobs in my life, rest have all been contracts. Both perm jobs I left on good terms and had good relationships so maybe that helped. Who knows.

    It's a given that sales people, when they move, always bring some pet customers. It's why sensible companies have sales people on quite long probation periods, as they bring a boat load of business for the first period. If the sales dry up after 3 months then that's all they;ve got.

    That's a bit like CEOs - if all they've got to boost profits is to suggest job cuts then bin them off. They're just a good BSer who presents well.

    Take the contract role - you either like it or don't like it, or they extend or serve notice, but then you just get the next contract.
