Why hasn't tech pay risen in the UK?

    This is crap. I have worked in Canada. Canadian salaries were always lower than the UK. Of late they have caught up somewhat to be sure. Of course some particular skills will always have different demand and might be more expensive there.

    There are several other countries where wages are lower than the UK

      12 years? Try 20. In 2001 I was in my twenties and permie in the City on £55k + £6k car allowance, whatever that was, and a bonus that was always 15-20% plus a fully employer paid 15% pension, private health, share scheme etc. I'd consider myself lucky to get something similar today if I had to go back.
