I'll stick with The Invisible Pink Unicorn

"The Invisible Pink Unicorns is a being of great spiritual power. We know
this because she is capable of being invisible and pink at the same time.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorn is based
upon both logic and faith. We have faith that she is pink; we logically
know that she is invisible because we can't see her."

I'm normally not one for expletives but what the Israelis are doing there is complete and utter pure evil. That article that the OP inks to literally had me in tears there is ABSOLUTELY NO JUSTIFICATION for what they are doing there at all - it is mass murder. Period.

It just makes me mad - we bomb Iraq, Libya etc and they tell us it's for humanitarian reasons but do you think western powers will ever point their weapons at the evil that's festering in the middle east that is Israel? A rhetorical question really because we all know the answer is a big fat no.

Oh, the expletive -the Israelis are murdering ******* scum.

Agreed, It's a big problem. Israel are seen as the neighbours from hell by the Arab world and a large number of powerful but unstable Middle Eastern countries would dearly love to see the state wiped out. I can't see it ending well and unfortunately there is no easy solution.

In hindsight, it was a bad idea to put the Jews in an area surrounded by 300 million Arabs but then again they had a bit of a bad time in Europe too.

Uh huh. In other news, the sky is blue and the sun rose this morning. Do you think that by stating a simple truth like this you somehow legitimise the other ignorant nonsense that you spout? I never suggested that Israel was not a sovereign state. I've been there, seen it and even got the passport stamps to prove it.

What I did say was that in the opinion of the United Nations, Israel have illegally occupied territories which they should give back to the rightful owners. This includes a number of settlements they are creating which the UN says are against international law. Your inability to face the facts or to make a coherent counter argument doesn't change this.

Until Hamas are brought down and replaced by a democratic government there will be no peace in Israel.
Go on then. Tell us how do you think Hamas came to power.

Eh? Which Christian state are you talking about? Uh, you do know that Israel is a Jewish state and that Jews don't believe in Christ as Christians do, right?

Or that there are sizeable Christian minority populations living in relative harmony in Arab countries like Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon etc as well as the Palestinian territories?

            Oh dear.

Any form of retaliation is likely to kill innocent people. But what exactly are they supposed to do in response to these rockets? Their air defences cannot be unlimited, if the rockets continue then presumably there will start to be major casualties on the Israeli side. A government has a duty to protect its citizens.

They seem to be blowing up residential buildings with women and kids in though. Surely they should go for the infrastructure like when we bombed Iraq.

Yeah. We all agreed to outlaw monopolies on the use of violence and to put our trust in the market.

We could afford to do that because Iraq was not bombing us. Israel has to take out the missiles for its own protection. Can we really be sure that the rockets are not being fired from these areas with women and kids in? Given the nature of Islam I would not discount it. Seem to recall in the last major Lebanon conflict that offensives were deliberately launched from residential areas, or is that a DA invention?
