That's ok. As we own our own money supply so can simply "print" more of it to pay our way.

That's why independent countries retain control over their own money.

As a lot of this debt is owned by pension funds, paying the pensions of the Scots and English ( and Welsh and Irish ) we'd all suffer from a bit of inflation.

But not as much as Scotland would suffer from walking out on it's debt obligations.

Yes - Swinney threatened to walk away from the debt if Scotland wasn't given a CU. Leading to international banks warning that not only would a Scottish Goverment see borrowing costs up to 4% higher, but also Germany and, other EU members, warning that entry to the EU would not be possible under such circumstanes.

Standard Life have just announced that they would move assets out of the country and we would likely see a capital flight from other companies.

      This has stopped being funny.

Indeed; change is cool, lots of new stuff to be built and tested. Trouble is, someone has to have the dosh to pay for it.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

Ah there is a problem. Costs would have to be recovered. No doubt from the long suffering bank customers and/or taxpayers.

Don't worry .... the SNP have said that everything is is easy and everything is free!

It'll be just a small change from their vast oil wealth.

Don't worry, WW3 will kick off before the referendum and it will all be moot.

You're making the same mistake that the vast majority of Westminster MPs, MSM and English folk are making. This is not a vote for the SNP, there is a huge grassroots movement for independence.

Alistair Darling, Gordon Brown, et al keep going on about Alex Salmond and the SNP, referring to anyone who supports independence on the internet as Cybernats. They are hacking off a lot of the electorate who wouldn't dream of voting for Alex Salmond. There are groups such as Labour for Independence, Women for Independence, The Greens, Scots Asians for Independence, Radical socialists for Independence, etc., etc., etc.

The Westminster system is broken and the only way we can see to get back on track is to go independent. Scotland is full of natural resources, not least of which is the people of Scotland. We know the rUK will hope to see us crash and burn but we have a stubborn streak that will ensure we will do everything in our power to prove you wrong.
