What a piece of work you are.

If they had been attending a church service that was as miserarble as sin (pardon the pun) would that have justified leaving their children alone. What if they had only left them alone for ten minutes or five or even 30 seconds?

It's pretty simple, don't leave very young children unattended. Madeleine was three the other children were two.
Is it acceptable to leave a 3 year old and 2 year olds alone and go out for a drink? Yes or No?Comment

When my kids were young we all used to go on holiday together to enjoy time together. I was working away a lot of the time so it was a great chance for me to spend a fortnight in their company.
If we went for a meal late at night we would take the kids with us. We would find a bar with music so they could dance about and enjoy themselves whilst me & Mrs Batcher would enjoy watching them and have a couple of drinks.
Leaving them alone in a strange place whilst we went out for a meal and drinks was unthinkable and selfish. Even if there was a babysitting service available we would prefer to have the kids out with us anyway. We didn't see it as a chore.Comment
