    Pasta - Fattening or not?

BBC News - Is reheated pasta less fattening?

Odd results, but they tested it scientifically it seems

So cook pasta, chill it and re-heat it and it's less fattening overall.

Did they test using freshly made pasta? I wonder how dried pasta or shop-bought "fresh" pasta compares. Or even pasta in microwavable ready meals, is that already pre-cooked?

If you do tons of exercise then pasta is not fattening

Neither are kebabs and pints of lager.

They copied the experiment on a beeb program last night.

It was done in an Italian restaurant using dried pasta. Though they only did it on 10 people the results were the same for all 10 both male and female.

So is this essentially just increasing the GI of the pasta?

It effectively increases fibre as well.

My problem is I forget to do the exercise after the kebabs and lager.

Couldn't you just eat brown pasta?
