A problem is that council tax payers in the areas they are dumping these people are having to pick up the bill and their own long term residents are being pushed down the social housing ladder.

I did live for a month in Fishermead, a chavvy council-estate part of Milton Keynes, at the tail end of 1996. It was pretty dire. My car got vandalised, and the accommodation was freezing cold.Comment
