It all a bit like scratching your own back, with IPSE. What have they ever accomplished, over the years?
It seems that they are more focussed on the Rachel Riley's of this world, than IT Contractor/Consultants?
Change for change's sake...?I was an IPSE Consultative Council Member, until the BoD abolished it. I am not an IPSE Member, since they have no longer have any relevance to me, as an IT Contractor. Read my lips...I recommend QDOS for ALL your Insurance requirements (Contact me for a referral code).Comment

No-one has to listen to the CC, which is perhaps why they weren't consulted on things until they were already done.
Online meetings will be planned to enhance physical CC meetings to answer your question
I probably won't respond to other posts in this thread as I only posted original to inform
Any questions on the paper itself post on the ipse forums and a governance twsnk can answer
Thank you
Happy ranting everyone

Whatever your feelings, IPSE will claim the mandate to represent you. Whilst I don't think it would be a bad idea for the powers over there to listen to what a wider audience of non-members has to say (and maybe even engage more with that audience), the only way that people can influence policy is by getting involved on some level.
That could take many forms - reading the emails and communications, voting at the AGM or in the elections (even if it's a spoilt paper!), posting in the forums, getting onto the CC, or getting onto the Board (for which you no longer have to have been a CC member any more).
But if you want to be heard, then taking an interest is the only way that's likely to happen.Comment

Nominations open 9th April and close 16th April
Voting takes place between April 28th and May 14th.
So that's just under 9 weeks until nominations open.Comment
