Default Britain ahead of 17 other EU countries put together!

    Britian leads the way!

Britain took in more migrants than 17 other EU countries put together, new data shows - Telegraph

Britain accepted more asylum seekers last year than 17 other European Union countries put together, new data has shown.

The figures are expected to be seized upon by George Osborne, the Chancellor, as he begins negotiations with the EU after Britain was told it must take tens of thousands of refugees from the Mediterranean.

Data compiled by Eurostat, the European Commission’s own statistics agency, showed Britain gave asylum protection to 14,065 people in 2014, while other large European states accepted just a few hundred each.

The sooner we get out of the EU the sooner we can put a stop to all this nothing to do with the EU immigration.

In what sense, because according to that graph we're behind Germany, France, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland and the Netherlands.

    Can't blame the immigrants..

    Setting.. Ethopian Township
Abal: "I hate this country, it's a life of poverty, a constant struggle to survive"
Gersem: "Lets go the UK - they're a bunch of blind, politically correct, naive idiots ! All you have to do is claim 'political asylum' and they give you free accommodation, free food, free clothing, free healthcare and even free money each week; all paid for by the UK taxpayers !"
Abal: "That can't be true - it's a story, a fantasy, no country could possibly give that to unknown arriving immigrants from outside the EU"
Gersem: "It's true I tell you, it's true. Unbelievable, but true, Mamo went last month !"
Abal: "In that case let's go there now - let's milk those UK idiots!"

    Setting.. Warsaw, Poland
Bogdan: "If I go and work in London I can claim child benefit for our little Lucja, £80 a week and send it back"
Klaudia: "But he'll be living here in Warsaw with me - how come ?"
Bogdan: "Because the UK population are a bunch of blind, politically correct, naive idiots. I can claim child benefit for Lucja even though he'll never set foot in the UK, all paid for by the UK taxpayers !"
Klaudia: "That can't be true - it's a story, a fantasy, no country could possibly give that to unknown arriving immigrants from inside the EU"
Bogdan: "It's true I tell you, it's true. Unbelievable, but true, Gustaw went last month ! I'm going now - let's milk those UK idiots!"

That article is completely screwed. The numbers on the graph don't add up with the statements made. They include Portugal in the written list and it's not on the chart at all. Of the 21 countries on the chart (Including the UK), 6 of them took more that us. That leaves 14 that took less, and of them the Netherlands took almost as many as we did.

    Crap piece of reporting.

And looking at the list that did take less than us you can see why. Their economies are all in the tulipter. Contrary to what Nigel would tell you most migrants don't come here just to claim benefits, most of them actually come here to work and in doing so contribute to the economy.

It's clear that most economic migrants come to the UK for financial reasons, but "contribute to the economy" is a very wishy-washy statement. Unless they are paying more in tax than they are taking in public services such as schools, roads, and in the future, pensions, then they are not net contributors.

Well they wouldn't be economic migrants if they didn't come for financial reasons would they or did they come for the arts?
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Very few people are net contributors in terms of direct taxation payments. In fact you only actually become a net contributor once you hit the 40% tax bracket, and most people don't. Even then it's small numbers unless you are really earning big bucks. And at that point tax planning comes in as people try to minimise what they pay.

Migrants still make up a relatively small proportion of the population, there are still far more net takers than net givers in the native population.
