    Dropbox Pro

Anyone taken the plunge and decided to dump pretty much everything on Dropbox?

    Experience/issues etc.

Did you effectively lose internet access as it tried to sync xxxGb of data when you added your music/movie/photo collection?

    TIA

I haven't got Dropbox but I have got Amazon Prime, when I upload large amounts of data it seems to just chug along in the background. Other apps appear to have just as much bandwidth available as before, although the Amazon uploads can take quite a long time.

When I had 512K upload then uploading big things to Dropbox would tend to make everything else slow as well. Now I have 20Mb upload I never notice.

I've had Carbonite for backup for several years, and that just chugs away in the background and I never notice. I don't backup movies or music though.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

I haven't got much in my Dropbox, but more than I had space for from the freebies, so I paid up a month ago.

About two days later, I accidentally overwrote one of my files that I needed to keep - quick look at Dropbox webpage, found the previous version and had it restored in seconds.

I could stick the music library in there, I guess, and see how that works. Maybe next time I'm benched I can play around with it for a bit and see...

I have my whole iTunes and media library in there, means which ever computer I log onto it has iTunes with it, I then sync dropbox to my new WD DL4100 NAS with the inbuilt app and have my SONOS Media Library pointed to the share. I have my iTunes when I am away on the laptop, and syncs to the SONOS (playlist updates, new tracks and podcasts etc) back home. Just wish I could update back from the SONOS to iTunes but its a small price to pay

Dropbox for business, onedrive for personal.

One drive for business is hilariously bad, I have ranted about it before...
