The last time I checked Northern Ireland was part of the UK and land borders the Republic?

Technically you are right but your point has no bearing on practicalities unless the migrants can find their way to Ireland

So are the Falkland islands, your point is ?

Let's so you drive from Northern Island over land without taking a ferry, and no James Bond style floating cars
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

Actually I think the Falklands are an overseas dependency or some such crown protectorate.

Maybe the French should pop the Calais folk on a boat to Cork and then they can cross the border into Northern Ireland. [emoji8]

That you may do but it does not entitle you to make sweeping nonsensical comments about International Aid

So the solution is to be mean and build a higher fence?

Cheaper and more effective than spunking it into dodgy aid "projects"

Over land to where? To the UK? But if you are in Northern Ireland then you are already in the UK.

I thought the subject was whether the UK has a land border with another country. It does.

Northern Ireland borders the EU country of the Republic of Ireland!
