    Windows 10 - who dares?

    A boring computer related post.

Windows 10 is out at the end of the month and I have signed up to get it but, having recently spent time setting up my new computer, I don't feel like spending a lot more solving various problems the install may cause. Like many others I daresay, I will be waiting until I see some comments and reviews. What are you lot doing?

    Back to 8.1 for me

I prefer the Metro style for a touchscreen, so I'm finished with it for now (about 4 releases for beta).

Meanwhile Office 2016 is out, so I'm just trying that out. No doubt I revert back to Office 2007

If they'll let me upgrade my Parallels VM for free, I'll do that. But my desktop (W7) is needed for actual work so I shall wait - or maybe just buy a new W10 PC.

Not yet, but as every second version disagrees with me (vista, W8, whatever came before XP), this should be a decent one.

Aren't they ditching the entire SP model in favour of constant, mandatory updates?

As Windows 10 end of life is 2020 for mainstream support, I'd imagine that another windows version is coming later
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

I'm going to install it as soon as it comes out, I mean what could go wrong?

I'm not sure how our two comments are related.
