    Well if I were trying to sell such a policy to the electorate, 90% of which don't have anywhere near £100k household earnings, I wouldn't be surprised if the electorate objected to subsidising the rich.

    We just had a discussion about BTL where people were horrified Landlords may pay the interest on mortgages like any other business because they were rich Boomers, now the government is throwing taxpayers cash at the top 10% to buy half million pound houses and people are saying why not.
