She wouldn't dare divorce me, she'd bloody starve to death. When you've been with a lass for 18 years (tulip is it really that long?) and she's cooked dinner twice (once too many if I'm honest) in all that time, you do find you have some "leverage" so to speak.
And just to reiterate, she didn't beat me up, I tripped over the crap she left on the stairs, my fault entirely, but I did occasionally spread the blame when it suited me for sympathy purposes - not that I got too much of that...

Could have been better, if I'm honest, and thanks for asking. I'm currently on the road to recovery after 3 broken ribs and a fractured pelvis (these things occasionally happen after 'er indoors gets home from a night on the lash and leaves crap all over the stairs, and chuck in having to get up in the night to tap off a middle aged bladder - and to think I didn't turn on the light so I wouldn't disturb her).
Still, I comfort myself with the thought that there are even more stupid people in the world than me - shame I had to work with most of them. Off-topic (ish) how is MarillionFan these days?
