So, if true that means they have the hardware and know - how to shoot down an aircraft flying at 30,000+ feet.
That's pretty scary
Frankly, I'm surprised airlines fly over territory where ISIS is active. Mind you, that's a lot of real estate to avoid these days....Comment

This aircraft had a serious tail strike a few years ago, then it now breaks up in mid-air. I flew from Chelyabinsk to Moscow on a Tu-154, got up really close cos I was late and being escorted under the plane (wot Health and Safety?), and was gobsmacked at the amount of multicoloured poorly-rivetted panels around the tail area, was 2003 though.
Reason I was late is so they could charge me £3 excess baggage.......
Tu-154 has a poor record, plenty of crashes but I've been on loads that didnt crash so I think they're ok!Comment
