    You arrive on client site, and settle into a new contract. But thing don't seem right, is it just a new environment or are they warning signs to look for something new, quickly?

    All the senior member of the team have left or are due to leave soon. Check
    No one is making decisions, waiting for an announcement. Check

    Anything else?
    Fiscal nomad it's legal.

    Permies looking more like rabbits in headlights than usual.
    Plenty of spaces in the car park, when you get in, in the morning.
    Members of staff missing at different times of day.
    Members of staff making plenty of furtive phones call, in the lift or out in the kitchen.
    Bailiffs are in.

              The bosses son is in, clearing the stationary cupboard and loading any "available" IT hardware into a Chelsea tractor.

                When the finance department recruit someone as maternity cover in Accounts Payable. Their CV doesn't mention any financial experience or qualifications. It does say they spent 3 years as a "Stock Manager at John Lewis". Turns out this was when they were 16 and they had a part time job stacking the shelves.
