    Is it just me

Russian economy not doing too well at the moment, because the price of oil is so low. Countries they are trying to control are buying oil on the black market cheaper than Russia is trying to selling it to them.

Is Russia is taking advantage of what happened in Paris, to bomb Syria's oil production off the map.

Oil prices up, Russian economy recovered. Mega Corps. win contracts re-build etc.

    Or is it just me?

Saudi is flooding the market to hurt US and Russia production. Partly to hurt their production facilities, partly due to Syria intervention.

The news also reported that Isis were controlling oil wells and selling oil to finance their terrorism. Quite how the mechanics of that would work (maybe they have some oil engineers and international financiers in their midst?) was never detailed, but it might be a tenuous link to why the oil fields are being bombed.

Have to say that sounds like total BS.

As someone says and more to the point
Why have the americans left these oil facilities alone?

It could be something as lame as worrying about hurting their green credentials if they hit the oil fields (remember what happened when Saddam destroyed the infrastructure in Kuwait), and especially as it is Obama
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

Because it is an industry that will help the Syrian economy if it can get through this war to the other side.

Well you know F all then because Radio 4 this morning talked about this. ISIS reckoned to be making $40m-$50m PER MONTH from selling oil, down from $4m PER DAY

Couldn't possibly be propaganda then, could it?
I mean we have always been told the absolute truth before, right?

The closest ISIS are to oil money, is that they are funded by Saudis
