What struck me funny in that article is there's a picture of him, Sigourney Weaver and Yaphet Kotto on the set of Alien and the grauniad's caption says "Holm, right..." as if you'd not be sure if he was black male, white female, or white male

Some of us don't see colour or gender.

On another note, I've only just realised he was in Alien. Looks like I don't see anything.

Actually the captions of photos with just the names tend to be the least racist things in some newspapers. They tend to not assume anything.

Ian Holm could from appearance easily be Jewish. And by his name
