In short, my solicitor tells me I can't build any structure within 5 metres of the boundary between me and my neighbour. It's not exactly a huge garden & that was exactly where I wanted to put a summerhouse.
I can stuck it somewhere else but I'm concerned that these kind of restrictions could affect my ability to sell at s later date. Another clause is that I have no right to light (or something) where this boundary is concerned so the neighbour could stick something there & block out my light.
The reason for these Covenants is that the garden is formed from land purchased from the neighbouring property & they made these stipulations when they sold it.
I'm generally not worried about such things bit perhaps I should be?
