Would be nice if the 2nd referendum was the rest of the UK voting on whether Scotland should leave

That would really annoy the SNP, the last thing they really want is independence
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

It'd be easier just to ban all the Scot exiles
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

Yeah, a bit like the UK on the EU the now.

These moments when we dare to aim higher, to break barriers, to reach for the stars, to make the unknown known. We count these moments as our proudest achievements. But we lost all that. Or perhaps we've just forgotten that we are still pioneers. And we've barely begun. And that our greatest accomplishments cannot be behind us, because our destiny lies above us.”

But EU money is keeping the UK afloat. You'd sink without us expats feeding you money.

Just the same save for the fact that the UK has hundreds of years of intergrated history and fought two World Wars together.

Just a middle man. EU is where the gold is.

And? Things change - it's not like the Union was formed through mutual agreement like the EU was. Scrub it and see if it can be put back together through goodwill this time. I bet you'll have equal success with getting the UK back in the EU post-quitting.
