So, Crossrail 1 - no problems with funding, now Crossrail 2 - let's put another 33 bln and nobody says a word against, but when it comes to HS2 then suddenly they are all up in arms

If they're going to print (QE) some more money for infrastructure projects then we should all get a vote where the money goes.

If they can fund billions for Crossrail and HS2 they can sort out a better link from Devon to Cornwall for us down here to get to the cider festivals. Only 100 mil or so for an alternative line to the one that gets washed away at Dawlish.

I thought with all the second homes for the londoners down here they'd have pushed that through by now. Maybe we need toll charges on the M5 for non-locals so we can tax their luxobarges each weekend.

All the trains will be driverless soon. Though in the meantime, I think we should replace them with Bobs.....

Could they get them to work 24/7 then? Even if it's 1 train per hour at night time.

btw, what they don't tell you is that massive underground digging activity is actually a cover up for Govt preparing new nuclear bunkers for WW3, you've heard it on here first...

Those bunkers won't take riff raff from this forum other than SueEllen because she knows everything and will be of great use in the post-nuclear war world...

P.S. They might also take Brillo but only because he will be handy in powering the bunkers using bicycle power generator...
