NLUK is a client, and often recommends them.

Indeed. I am a client of theirs too and not unhappy with the service.

If there is some kind of relationship between CUK and Gorilla, then I'd certainly be looking a bit more closely at the winners of the accountancy awards from here onwards. And at whether anything is moderated in a different manner to comments about other accountants.

I thought Cojak had confirmed there wasn't. Or is the tin foil hat malfunctioning?

I'd be wary of any award schemes where the voting is dine online, there are so many scams, anyone can easily buy Twitter followers, Facebook likes and buy as many votes on online voting that they like.

Looking at past winners and runners up, some unlikely names crop up which suggests that in the past some vote fixing has taken place.
"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance." Cicero

Hmmmm - cojak said she thought they were cheeky buggers. But if that's an official CUK statement that there is no deal between the two, then it's a little ambiguous for my liking.

The word on the street is that a brown envelope stuffed full of Amazon Vouchers (lifted from IPSEs stash) has 'made it's way' to a certain northern chap by way of a large hairy 500 lb accountant (who goes by the name of 'Mr K Kong')
