Default Boris: Britain should scrap migration targets to avoid 'disappointing' the public

"Britain should avoid committing to a target to reduce net migration because it would just "disappoint people again", Boris Johnson has said.

The Foreign Secretary said that Amber Rudd, the Home Secretary, was "entirely right" after she pledged to reduce net migration to "sustainable levels".

She refused to commit to David Cameron and Theresa May's previous target of reducing net migration to less than 100,000 people a year. "

I'll give Boris even better idea - classify actual migration figures citing National Security and the public will be able to sleep well at night.

    Them Brexiters...

I still can't work out how BoJo got the FO gig, he always seems to land on his feet... unless he's being fattened up for the slaughter to come by Theresa 'Palpatine' May!

Cockwomble wankpuffin, the 'my twitter account got hacked' argument so beloved of right wingers: Boris Johnson grilled over past ‘outright lies’ at uneasy press conference | Politics | The Guardian

Standing alongside John Kerry, the US secretary of state, Johnson claimed his remarks had been misconstrued, that his past journalism had been taken out of context, and world leaders he had met since his appointment fully understood his past remarks.

Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

For someone so intelligent, obviously able to string more than two words together in a newspaper column, and experienced in politics, he does come across as a bumbling buffoon next to proper diplomats like Kerry.

How does someone who lies so often manage to maintain any form of employment, let alone one in public service?
