    Prick with fork

makes a bad paella it says on his sausage packaging.

Can't make a classic Spanish dish his own and keep the name based on social media's reaction:

Jamie Oliver's paella recipe is panned online - BBC News

Quite right too, but I do recommend his 15 Newquay restaurant if you're ever in Cornwall.

Barbicoa in St Pauls is also worth a look. The guy knows haw to run a good restaurant.

0f the 90s chefs he is probably the most accessible.

cheeky chappie attitude - mildly amusing.
      Social conscience - yes
      simple & fun looking recipes.
      Keeping it in his pants.

I was actually a little underwhelmed by some of the meat when I went there.

I recommend this place for really great chops etc. although a little more informal than Barbicoa.

Its a load of bollocks, he's not the first and won't be the last to add chorizo paella, Valencian paella is primarily chicken and/or rabbit, but you don't see the same backlash over the thousands of seafood recipes

Exactly, massive regional variations, pork chops are another favourite addition.

Anyway, I love a well made one and looking forward to getting tucked into a few, in a couple of weeks

And clearly he's a genius at generating free publicity.

Cannot believe this was worthy of a "News" story on the BBC.
