Just wondering what you put on your CV (if anything) to explain the time gap?
      Import / export.

        Nothing.

You tell the 20- something agent you were fixing up the house and taking time off because you can. Clients don't tend to ask.

I took 3 years off to travel. May have made it a bit harder to secure the first contract on my return but then I'm a fussy bugger so I'm not sure it made any difference at all.

Good idea, but I'll look too much like a bloke in the interview. This tends to be the case with blokes who are blokes, like this bloke.

Nothing on my CV but explained to any agents or clients I spoke with.

Having finished my last contract at the end of April, I've spent 6 of the last 8 months helping support my Dad after a stroke in May.

He is now back home living independently and I have just been signed up for a new gig in Sunbury on Thames, starting early in the new year.
