What if he accidentally does a good job?!
Must admit I'm hoping he does a Ronald Reagan.

An Actor as President what is the world coming to???
Oh actually he seemed to do a good job.

    doubtful though.

      Would love Arnie as president.

The bunch of lefty comedians derided Thatcher as well, strangely they didn't come back when B'Liar & Bruin were about. Lets have a look at what he did.

Exciting is rarely a good word when it comes to international relations. That's my biggest worry - there is a set way things are done, the POTUS cannot go tweeting insults directly to other world leaders because many of them are even more thin-skinned than he is and could easily escalate to war over an online spat!

What he could do best for world peace is kill of the cold war - his relationship with Putin is far better than the US establishment's and the arms dealers don't like it. Viva Le Trump!

Problem with that is when you look at the list of people he is putting in to positions of power, it is purely the establishment - perhaps he has bypassed a few lobbyists and gone direct to businesses, but his choices are mostly "jobs for the boys", regardless of talent or ability.

Sadly Spitting Image was in decline and was cancelled before Blair; we needed them more than ever in 2016.

The problem is how can you know if good things that happened would have happened regardless. The Cold War and Communism probably would have ended anyway, but you can give Reagan some credit for not doing anything stupid to scupper it.

The Cold War ended decades ago. What we have now is merely tepid bickering

Interestingly enough Rik Mayall was about the only comedian from that era to attack the New Lie doing a new statesman in Labour.

How Margaret Thatcher Won the Cold War - WSJ

Three months later, Chernenko died, and Mr. Gorbachev became general secretary. In November 1985, he and Reagan met in an ice-breaking summit in Geneva. “Maggie was right,” the president told his aides afterward. “We can do business with this man.” The unfreezing of the Cold War had begun.

That thaw’s consequences did not always please Thatcher. She was appalled when Reagan and Mr. Gorbachev met in Reykjavik, Iceland, in October 1986 and all but agreed to abolish nuclear weapons. Giving them up, she told Reagan, would be “tantamount to surrender.”
Margaret Thatcher: The 'Iron Lady's' pivotal role in ending the Cold War - Telegraph

When Ronald Reagan became US president in January 1981, his analysis of the Cold War was identical to Mrs Thatcher's. Like the Prime Minister, Reagan believed that building the West's military strength was the key to containing the Soviet Union and then forcing the Kremlin to negotiate. Unlike Mrs Thatcher, however, he was able to build a military machine capable of outclassing Moscow.
Reagan duly embarked on the biggest military build-up in peacetime history, overhauling the US armed forces and expanding its nuclear arsenal. He took this still further in 1983 by proposing a missile defence system, dubbed "Star Wars", capable of protecting the US and its allies from a Soviet nuclear strike.
In retrospect, that was a turning point. The Soviet Union faced the impossible choice of building enough missiles to overwhelm "Star Wars", or matching with a version of its own. Either option was unaffordable.
