One of the defining events of my student days was Eurovision related.
We were all on our way back from Clovelly and as we were bowling along the top of the Polden Hills (cheers, Reg) news came in that Katrina and the Waves had won Eurovision '97.
We all piled into the Toby Inn belting out Walking on Sunshine at the top of our voices and proceeded to get smashed on Cherry B.
All too passed to drive, we kipped in the pub car park after having indulged in a right royal bonking session first.
