So it's not just banging on about the holocaust but reminding us of more recent events too - educating people in what can cause the collective insanity that allows these events.
This collective insanity has happened countless times and will continue to happen, just look at ISIS now, any different from the Nazis? It's all very well having a memorial so we can all feel better about ourselves and Education is a good thing but we don't seem to be learning from it. Now that Trump is in charge God only knows what awaits us...

I'm afraid I have holocaust fatigue now.

It was bad luck for the suffers and all that, but everyone has just gone on and on about it for too long.

Same goes for WW1 and WW2 generally. Time to move on methinks.

Thats the point of this day - you move on but you don't forget what happened and same with WW1/2 - teaching the younger generation.

The thing is all the atrocities are terrible and when we read about them we are shocked that anyone could do that.

However the people that actually commit these atrocities do not care what anyone says.

In essence it is just preaching to the converted.

ISIS are different from the Nazis. If you don't know why then start watching the history channel.

HCD is an attempt to prevent that. Whether it works or not is another matter. Got an alternative?
