Default Bullying by Manager Contractor ?

I know sometimes managers tend to be difficult but I am facing a situation where the manager is taking things a little too personally and deliberately making things difficult for me. <Please dont make assumptions >

The problem is we both are contractors, he is more of "technical lead" sort of manager and has been around much longer than me.
The guy who has hired me is a permie and has known me for a while as I have worked with him in the past. He sits above this contractor lead and is the main PM.

In a permie set up, I know what the options would be. But in contracting world not really sure ! the client can simply say f off to me or both. Their priority will be project delivery.

    Thoughts? How to approach?

    Find a new contract.
“We've always defined ourselves by the ability to overcome the impossible. And we count these moments. These moments when we dare to aim higher, to break barriers, to reach for the stars, to make the unknown known. We count these moments as our proudest achievements. But we lost all that. Or perhaps we've just forgotten that we are still pioneers. And we've barely begun. And that our greatest accomplishments cannot be behind us, because our destiny lies above us.”

    1. Punch up in the car park
    2. Knob his wife
    3. Key his car
    4. Head down, keep invoicing

Any or all of the above would be deemed acceptable.

Find a new contract, hand in your notice and very loudly tell him where to go when he's delibrate difficult. If it's the last day you can also punch him.

Rather than listen to the morons, why not do something more realistic like grab a coffee with the guy who brought you in?

What evidence have you got that the technical lead is making it difficult for you? Could any of it be seen as your failure/inability to deliver?

    Plenty actually.

I was thinking from the permie PMs view. He would agree with me, but also think its none of his business. Just my thought
