Default EU to end roaming charges for mobile phones

However it will not apply to the UK after Brexit as mobile operators will then be free to charge what they want.

Under the agreement,a cap will be put on wholesale mobile data prices at EUR 7.75 per gigabyte as of June 15 and it has to decrease gradually in the next few years. The price will fall to EUR 6 in 2018, EUR 4.5 in 2019, EUR 3.5 in 2020, EUR 3 in 2021 and EUR 2.5 in 2022. Text messages will be charged EUR 0.01. A cap of EUR 0.032 per minute for calls will replace the current one of EUR 0.05 per minute.
Brexiteers remind me of religious fanatics, only faith, no facts.

And here was me thinking that mass youth unemployment in southern European states was important. Then again, it's fair to say Brexit won't fix that either.

Prior to intervention, I was paying around £400 per month just for voice roaming in Europe. £4,800 per year is no small amount.

Prior to New Labour letting anyone and everyone into the UK we were paying, on average, £60K for a house*. That's no small amount.

Actually, you're right, approximately £5K is a mind bending rip off. Here's hoping we get a good deal.

*plus dropping interest rates to the floor.

More people come to the UK from outside the EU than within by some significant margin.
“We've always defined ourselves by the ability to overcome the impossible. And we count these moments. These moments when we dare to aim higher, to break barriers, to reach for the stars, to make the unknown known. We count these moments as our proudest achievements. But we lost all that. Or perhaps we've just forgotten that we are still pioneers. And we've barely begun. And that our greatest accomplishments cannot be behind us, because our destiny lies above us.”

So it's all the fault of those 'subcontinent types'?

The UK government is entirely to blame.

Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.
