    Umbrella Expenses

    Hi All,

Hopefully someone can shed some light as I don't seem to be able to find out anything on the net about recent changes to umbrella expenses? I am currently with NASA (and moving LTD very soon) but have been told this month by NASA that they are no longer able to process my expenses though the have been doing so up until January. I work a long way from home so am racking up circa £2000 expenses per month which leaves me very short for January.....Does anyone know why this has happened? Thanks

        Hi,

I did, They were about as unhelpful as possible and just said it is due to HMRC changes - I did find the below on another thread which I have gone back to them with....

"Umbrella workers are now only be able to claim for the costs they actually incurred rather than a fixed daily amount"

That's fine for me as my daily expenses almost total my fixed but they are flatly refusing to pay anything....

Will let you know if I get an answer - I seem to be the only contractor affected !!

He should. Their customer service us out of this world. They'd go to the moon and back to help.
