    A Group Face-To-Face Interview

    Hi Guys,
I'm now in a recruitment process for a new contract.
First interview was a phone one, which is normal.
Now I'm up to the 2nd stage, which is going to be a collective interview to all the contractor candidates
that the client wishes to bring on site at this time.
It's the first time I've come across this,
and wondered whether any of you have been through this before,
and if so - what is it like and what is the purpose of it?

    Is collective like a gangbang?

If so act professional, try to use both hands, smile at the camera and don't talk with your mouth full.

Sounds horrific. You have my sympathy.

How many candidates is the client hiring? If it's one I would pass but if it's a loads I would go.

I guess it's a way of finding out how desperate you are for that contract. The ones that turn up for this joke of a group interview will do anything for nothing. I can imagine the quality of the people that turn up.

Turn up in a clowns interview and tell em you wanted to fit in with the client.

By this do you mean they are bringing in all the contractors together and you are chasing the same position in the gig? Or are you going to be working on the project together and it's a new team so they are using it as a team bonding session to see how you get on together?

If the former it sounds like a very permie thing to do. Think it can be quite common, I had the same thing when I doing my A-Levels for a job in Halfords many years ago. If it is this for a contract, I would be giving it a wide birth.
