          Quite. While there are big advantages in avoiding a very unequal society it beats me how intelligent people believe in communism/real socialism, it has never worked and never could. If you go too far in restricting personal wealth the most able will either leave, stop wasting their time trying or further their ambitions within corrupt government.

          Talk to communists about the USSR etc. and they will always tell you it wasn't real communism. How many times must idealistic dreams fail apart before some people accept the realities?

              Couldn't agree more.

              But I'm vehemently against the idea that both members of the household should be working long hours to support a mortgage payment up to and beyond 50% of income.
