Default So to summarise Brexit on day 1 after Article 50

The best option if everything goes well and we get a good deal is going to be somewhat less than we have now. So there'll be a hit to the economy.

The worst option, which is a real possibility, is no deal and WTO rules. So there'll be a massive hit to the economy.

Ther are no deals with any other countries till that point.
Not that it matters because the likes of Oz and Canada are too small to make substantial difference anway.

Looks like a big gamble to me.
    Hard Brexit now!

    Why?

The worst option, which is a real possibility, is no deal and WTO rules. So there'll be a massive hit to the economy.
    That wont happen.

Looks like a big gamble to me.
We had two options. Keep things the same, or do something different. Voting to remain would have meant more of the same, and an interpretation by the EU that the Brits were happy with the status quo. We aren't. Of the 48%, plenty of those were reluctant remainers. 'Something different' is anywhere between 'tinker round the edges' to 'dump everything', and we'll get somewhere in between.

So a big big gamble, but fortunately we'll get a 3 year transitional period at the end (so we are five years from 'something different') and we'll be on the other side of a General Election by then. What we'll ultimately end up with is somewhere between my super positive outlook (but I'm not an Ultra Brexiter) and your doom outlook (you are an Extremist Remainer).

GBP hasn't fallen off the cliff after the triggering of Article 50, like you were pretty adamant it would.

Nobody knows what things will be like. But one positive is that ultimately it will be the end of UKIP. You can be sure that if we had voted to remain, UKIP would be getting stronger and their calls for a second referendum would be as loud as the SNP's call. We can all unite around at least that being a positive outcome.

there will be no deal. EU is only concerned about politics and making the UK suffer.

All those things we used to import from Europe will be made over here.

Of course, you will lose your Portugese holiday home. sob.

Are you going to post a summary every day for the next 3,652 days of Brexit?

Did you see the recent DC interview? He looks like a broken man on the verge of endangering his health.
“We've always defined ourselves by the ability to overcome the impossible. And we count these moments. These moments when we dare to aim higher, to break barriers, to reach for the stars, to make the unknown known. We count these moments as our proudest achievements. But we lost all that. Or perhaps we've just forgotten that we are still pioneers. And we've barely begun. And that our greatest accomplishments cannot be behind us, because our destiny lies above us.”

I'm begining to think you really are as stupid as you sound, and not simply just trying to keep your post count high.
Either way you're one of the saddest characters on CUK.

No, he'll just seem that tedious.
