Did they also pay millions in USD (reportedly what Verge paid, that exclusivity didn't last long ) to be accepted by a site both dodgy as far as public image goes (so a strange choice for a crypto still looking to establish itself in the wider world) and also one that uses a payment provider that can apparently already accept 50 odd cryptos if they chose to?

At least we don't need to check that doiownatulipcoin site for the tokens jumping on this particular bandwagon.
Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down. Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on.

People mock associations with porn, but the industry is often ahead of the game where technology is concerned. I think I read somewhere it's a major reason jpg format became ubiquitous in the web. They were also early adopters of flash, then HTML5 video and probably a big reason both formats became widely used.

It's also cited as a major reason VHS beat betamax, because adult movies were available on VHS, so people bought VHS players

1000x group make similar observations on some cryptos. Monero for example. Yes it's used for 'dark web' activities. But that doesn't mean it's going to go away. The argue the opposite, with people looking to protect their identity. They seem to think it'll rocket.

If you understand this: Fat Protocols you might appreciate why something like Aion has the potential to be important. Not just interesting, but *important* in the blockchain space. Have just gone and bought some more. It could be a Antshares > Neo story all over again.

So these tulipcoins are paying to be associated with apparently one of the worlds biggest free adult sites (must be some dodgy tulip those needing to pay for it are into ) out of hope their token becomes the chosen one? Makes sense I suppose.

The winner will be the one that all the cam girls use to get quick anonymous almost free secure transactions from their punters, that extends into the real world 'meet up' market. Not sure any of the tulipcoins currently paying to join the party offer all of that.

I'm sure there must already be an alt or two with specifically that target market in mind and therefore offering all that would attract take up and widespread usage.

I don't think they're paying to do this. Maybe verge did, but I doubt Zen have.

As the bear market draws to a close you might be tempted to change positions. Have a read of this first: Seeking 1000x Returns: Why Investing in Crypto Platforms is the Way to Go

Certainly one of the better posts I've read explaining the difference between blockchain protocols and the applications that run on them. Are all your investments placed on one protocol?

How do you invest in the platform then, e.g Ethereum platform instead of ETH token or Ripple instead of XRP? Shares in the company that owns the platform if it's not truly decentralised?

As for the Ethereum based tokens seems many use the platform to launch with the intention of separating away onto their own mainnet once enough momentum gained, as seen recently with EOS. Though reports of that transition make it sound less than smooth with some losing their tokens, not sure if temporarily or gone for good.
