    Mega chilled client

    Never seen anything like it....

Hassling them for work and answer I get is "No rush - It takes time...."
Mega laid back attitude. Permies wearing jeans/t-shirts. Coming in at all hours and going early. (It appears they are on flexi with core of 10-12 and 2-3 only).

Support cover till 5pm only but they're not bothered.

Onsite gym. £60 year for contractors. On site parking. 13 miles from home.

Nice change from 90 mins commute (Although I do miss my kip on the train). See my kids in the morning before I leave, and then I'm home early too. Result.

Only bummer is inside IR35 but rate has been hiked to take account. Plans afoot to re-look at this which, assuming they dont want to cut the rate, will turn into a VERY good rate indeed.

And I'm a bit bored at the moment :-)

Deffo working out to be 2nd best client ever. (HP Bristol was my best - cracking site to work on - 20 years ago anyway).

Sounds like a dream gig mate - enjoy it while it lasts! Superb to be able to see the kids before work and in the evenings too, make a heck of a difference to their lives as well as yours, really pleased for you

Lol I could have told you that before you started. Don't forget the opportunity to build up two days of flexi every month.

Sounds good, but a word of warning, although you sound like the last person who needs it.

Cushy numbers like this gig can be deceptive and risk lulling one into a false sense of security and even sloppiness, which can turn round and bite one if the workload suddenly rises or mistakes are made ...

It's always worth asking yourself first thing each morning if there is anything you can be discretely getting on with and looking busyish at least some of the time.

Indeed. And a reason why people get pigeon holed in to PS and can find it hard getting back in to private sector gigs.
