Germany’s trade surplus is a threat to global stability, and must be fixed

"What is the biggest threat to the stability of the global economy right now? Britain leaving the EU? Donald Trump’s taste for bone-headed protectionism? The Federal Reserve raising interest rates too quickly, a collapse in China, or the sudden break-up of the eurozone?

You could make a case for all of them, and they are all worrying to different degrees.

But in fact, it is something that gets only a fraction of the attention it deserves: Germany’s trade surplus. Hitting record highs with every month that passes, it now amounts to a massive 9pc of GDP. In effect, Germany has become an economic rogue state, hollowing out the industry of its neighbours"

It'll be "fixed" when the really big bailouts start to happen, with a re-distribution of German wealth to the likes of Greece and Italy. Panic over.

Only because they have an artificially low currency and that EUR interest rates are set to be what is best for the German economy.

The 4th Reich will be completed without military action. It will be a financial takeover.

        Heil Merkel!

So why would not UK join EUR zone then, to take advantage of the same wonderful monetary policy things that Germany provides to all members of EU??

Ah yes. Reduction in energy bills. Living in a container means a 100% reduction.

Germany gives a tulip about cost of energy - their industry needs it, where as in this country the Govt kindly gives tiny winter fuel allowance so that old people don't die to cause Govt embarassment...

UK maintains an artificially low currency through QE - Check

Dropped interest rates to the floor and maintain - Check

And all without military action, driving Scotland into poverty.

If you care that much why not return home and pay some taxes there?
