Very impressed with reliability to date though & I'd like another one but all the Jap 4x4s are so damn big these days. More like MPVs.

Essentially I need something rugged and compact - do a lot of driving down narrow, potholed country lanes.

Quite like the look of the Jeep Renegade; don't know what jeep reliability is like but price is good.

Used to like the Discovery but I've got a feeling they've got ridiculously big like all the others.

Anyone recommend a decent compact 4x4?
I spent a number of months looking around to replace my Rav 4 and eventually got a new one. Business edition, all upgrades, diesel.

Brilliant car, but people seem to keep giving me the ****** sign as I pass them alot.

Even the 3.7 v6 engine couldn't stop it from being sh1te

        Looks alright that.

Even got a proper spare wheel like the old school 4x4s.

Sure I'd notice a lack of performance compared to my Rav though.

Yes, you would. But not necessarily when it comes to proper off road driving.

                Hummer H2 6.2 V8

Might push the definition of compact mind.

Used to like those. I think production stopped about 15 years ago though.
