Private healthcare in the UK, with the exception of private healthcare delivered by the NHS or possibly the Wellington is notoriously variable in quality: poor clinical governance, lack of continuity of care, poor night-time professional cover, lack of critical care bed back up and overseas surgeons flying in for a list being common problems.

Fine for day cases (e.g. cataracts) but wouldn't do it for overnight stays.
