    not sure why you dismiss it so rudely. If the OP has it then it is a far better solution which includes authorisation and the ability to use external databases to source the team data.

        I personally have never used and only recently heard of it and do not know of anyone who uses it, that's why I dismiss it out of hand...

        Its a ******* spreadsheet for people's holidays, it doesn't need a lot of resources. A plain text file would suffice

          one of the big things is the ability to connect to the back end databases and workflows.

          Very easy to knock up multi user applications in a few hours to fix these sort of issues.

          I have been asked to use an excel team vacation calendar before you can never get into it because someone has it checked out or overwrites your changes.
