Still getting lots of grief with neck/shoulder...

Don't think chairs at client help. They look newish but just not comfortable.

I cant see them having an issue with my bringing in my own chair but any recommendations for ones to buy?

Herman Miller Aeron but neck ache tends to be posture and seating position not chair type. I'd look more at raising your screen and getting the chair to the right height and stuff before just looking at the chair.

If you're working on a laptop, then I'd recommend the Roost laptop stand (UK linky) - I backed the first version on Kickstarter and did the same for the second one which is even better and works with more laptops (version 1 needed a clamshell laptop).

Lightweight, packs up small, supports lots of weight if you have a big laptop, but also works with a chromebook or something small like that.

And while I'm on about ergonomics, I'd use a vertical mouse (£15 for a cheapo one on Amazon, £100 for the cordless DXT which is very nice) to prevent RSI too.
