And it was a load of rubbish yesterday, as well.
The only Nordic country with more natural resources is Norway, the others do fine with a socialist outlook and culture of working together for the common good - something that is (was?) lacking in the UK.
The Brexit vote should have woken the establishment up to the fact that there are a lot of people not happy at all that, despite promises to the contrary, nothing is trickling down and the gap between rich and poor keeps widening.Comment

Oh my friend who is a Oil/Gas engineer has been unemployed for the last couple of years since the crisis happened, the government gives then good amount of money, my friend is actively looking for a role, not awaiting handouts, but its good to have the safety net the government gives them to support the familyComment

You know something is wrong with a country when a family with 2 working members pays taxes, but at the same time depends on benefits to survive.Comment

I'm all for financing essential services from the public purse but I've never seen any improvements in public services with Labour's tax grabs over the years. Quite the opposite, in fact. Just look at their obsession with targets and the inefficiencies resulting from all the bureaucracy surrounding that.Comment
