Nope. Like avocados and alcohol too much.

Eat a balanced diet with nothing in excess, manage your portion sizes and exercise regularly and you'll lose weight and get fitter.

Agreed. Just watch your calories and get some exercise. Anything else is bells and whistles imho.

Slimming world works, you can eat real food and have a little wine / beer / chocolate / (or whatever your preferred treat is) if you want to. Don't have to go to the meetings if you don't want. Can get a lot of recipes online without joining if you really don't want to pay anything.

But you get to eat real food and it's easy to follow once you get into it which is the difference to most diets.

Anything that gets you thinking about what you are eating is good. I use MyFitnessPal and enter everything I eat. I almost fell off my chair when I saw how many calories were in dominos pizza!!!! I use it to restrict myself to approx 2k calories a day. It is actually quite fun. You can get calories back if you exercise but I turn this off other people like it though.

+1 I was skeptical until the missus nagged me into going, I don't really try too hard on it but am 1.5 stone down since the end of Jan, the weigh in really works from a psychological point of view, concentrates the mind and allows you to reset the clock if you have bad week.
