Default European companies still don't pay enough to attract Uk contractors to EU

I'm getting tired of explaining this to recruiters, when will they understand I want at least a 20-30% premium on my UK day rate for the hassle.

Their argument is living costs tend to be cheaper in the EU.

However they tend to advertise expensive places....

And why should they want UK contractors? They will pay a rate to attract people - whether they come from UK or anywhere else.

The UK is going to have to fight for its place in the world.

Perhaps because you're thinking in £'s. Albeit UK agents I've noticed also charge more % for their services.

Hays are pretty decent if you find yourself a good contact. Have negotiated deals in the past with them.
“We've always defined ourselves by the ability to overcome the impossible. And we count these moments. These moments when we dare to aim higher, to break barriers, to reach for the stars, to make the unknown known. We count these moments as our proudest achievements. But we lost all that. Or perhaps we've just forgotten that we are still pioneers. And we've barely begun. And that our greatest accomplishments cannot be behind us, because our destiny lies above us.”

With the pound tanking, it might make UK contractors more attractive.

I think you missed the word "tend" in my sentences.

Agents tend to contact me about Ireland, Nordic countries and the expensive parts of Germany then wonder why I ignore them.
