    Migrant Crisis

Was just listening to Radio 4 on the way in this morning and they were talking about the migrant crisis and how numbers trying to cross the Med are starting to peak once again.

10,000 had been rescued and taken to Italy in the last few days alone & the Itailian representative they were interviewing wasn't very happy about this since he claimed the majority of them are picked up just a few miles off the coast of N Africa.

From what he was saying, it seems these NGO rescue boats are effectively providing a ferry service. My thoughts are - won't that just encourage more and more to try it and also put more money into the hands of the traffickers?

Another question - why is this mass migration phenomenon happening? I've heard 3 possible scenarios.

    1) The lefty take - War & global warming.

    2) The alt-right take - Soros funded NGOs fanning the flames to encourage the migration.

    3) Another view - modern communications; internet, mobile phones etc. Everyone has them, even in the remotest village in Sudan - so they see it can easily be done & want to try themselves.

We should vote about remaining in the EU and taking back our borders. This is getting ridiculous.

we should do anything we can sensibly to stop this, people are dying and the criminals are getting rich.

Wars and famines are nothing new. Probably 3 the main factor. Plus the traffickers who make huge profits.

Not destabilising North Africa would seem like an obvious start.
