BA vs easyjet - 2.5 hr flight (to Rome)

Just booking a last minute hol for next month and considering options. Mrs doesn't want to fly easyjet and reviews of BA are saying that they should just call themselves a budget airline already...

Other option is Iberia who have terrible reviews...

I'm slanting toward BA as I have better personal experience with them than easyjet and it's only about £60 more (for both of us both ways)...

    What would You do?

*edit* - as it's only 2.5 hours not too fussed about in flight entertainment or food

Have you included baggage fees in the comparison? Same airports?

Going from Gatwick to any Rome. haven't looked at baggage fees. Don't think BA do 'speedy boarding' or all the other 'extras' that easyjet do - do they?

Seems to me your selling yourselves cheap if the pair of you go both ways for £60...

IIRC BA can come in cheaper on the extras. Do your own research obviously. Can't remember if there's much difference between the two Rome airports for onward travel.

Are you taking bags or not? If not, BA do a basic fare now which has no baggage.
BA don't have speedy boarding (unless you have bronze/silver/gold executive club)
What other extras were you thinking of?
Are you hiring a car when out there?

Oh, and the Iberian is probably a BA codeshare.

Speedy boarding is a waste of time if there's a bus connecting you to the aircraft from the gate. The first and only time I purchased speedy boarding and still first on the bus and was last off the bus. What a swizz.

Just go with the cheapest and use the £60 for a nice meal.

The choice is obvious - First Class on BA, you might get a chance to meet MF in the Concorde room where he works overtime as a janitor to make up for his bookie losses.

Or just fly your own jet fighter and enjoy the free in-flight spag bol off your lap.

As others have noted for short haul, they're all pretty much of a tulipty muchness, including BA.
Not even worth paying extra for premium economy, business or whatever they're labelling it at the mo.
Just get the best flight in terms of timing, take your Bose noise cancelling headphones, drink a large whisky and knock yourself out for the flight - it's going to be tulipe anyway.
                    Hard Brexit now!
