I mean - what do you need to do to carbonara? It's basically just straining the spaghetti, chucking in some fried prosciutto and folding in a beaten egg, a twist of black pepper and a (un)healthy grating of parmesan and putting it all on a plate.

Add a nice glass of Italian white and you're sorted.
    Mmmmm

Add cream and it's even better. Try it. (No, not to the wine...). Personally, I add gorgonzola for a bit of a piquant taste.

        It's called "cooking".

you forgot getting her puppies out for the lads and slurping her spaghetti.

Sorry she knows exactly what she is doing and is very good at it.

Well that's true enough or she wouldn't have lasted so long.

Nobody I know could care two hoots about that minor detail though.

Most of my baking is done using Nigella recipes because they just work. Brilliantly.

I can't cook so haven't tried her savoury recipes.

And, yes, baking is different to cooking (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it)

Indeed, her sticky toffee pudding is a breeze and turns out brilliantly every time. Happy days.
