    Britain and the EU

In 1974 Britain joined the Common Market and negotiated the creation of Regional Funds

In 1979, Britain pushed for the policy which would involve further coordination of Foreign Policy in Europe

In 1983 Britain were the proud party that they cemented their place in creating peace in Europe

In 1983, Britain renegotiated the Common Fisheries Policy

In 1987 Great Britain lead the way in Cap Reform

In 1988 Britain were excited when the Single Market was launched

In 1991 Britain secured an agreement that would see members of the EU fined if they did not live up to their responsibilities

In 1992 Britain was a forerunner on further expansion of the EU

In 1992 it was Britain who began to push for the ex-Soviet countries to be allowed membership of the EU

In 1997 Britain pushed for a reform of voting involving the use of QMV in areas that were unanimous previously

In 1998 Britain was instrumental in bringing WEU defence program into the EU and led greater defence collaboration

In 2005 it was Britain who voted to speed up the accession of Turkey into the EU and were the only country fighting for it

In 2006 it was Britain who convinced the EU to adopt energy efficient light bulbs

In 2010, Britain managed to secure some new opt outs

In 2016, 52% of the people who voted in the referendum had turned into Wayne from Chelmsford:

Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

In 2017, Darmstady managed to post so much tulip that the entire world was forced to forgo the toilet for 24 hours to compensate for his tulip filled posts.

If only the EU had given Cameron some meaningful concessions eh? things could have been so different
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

What concessions would you have personally considered good enough to change your view on voting for Brexit - having Merkel kissing your behind?

Everything prior to 1993 was EEC (or EC for a while), not EU. Everything after that was under a Europhile PM, and aside from pushing for ex-Soviet bloc countries to join - which was for political reasons and made some sense at the time, everything else since then on your list was stupid, bar the "extra opt-outs" which were Schengen and the Euro, and we were (hopefully) never going to join either.
His heart is in the right place - shame we can't say the same about his brain...

But now we will certainly join them, within 15-20 years max.

Brexiters are the one who will ultimately kill sterling, make Britain lose control of borders.

In 2017 woohoo...well lets not go there but you know where this is leading (lets just say, Wayne from Chelmsford seems more intelligent )

I thought that enshrining in EU law that Britain would never have to join in further political union while still having access to the single market was quite a good one.
Sadly because of the crass shouting of the Brexit cretins it was completely overlooked.
                  Hard Brexit now!

Mordac is decrying the fact that the Tory government has now decided to shut down another 68 jobcenters which means he's now going to have to get up an hour earlier and get a bus...shame...
